Early Intervention
Helping Your Child Grow, Learn, and Thrive.
If you have concerns about your child’s development, you are not alone, and you don’t have to navigate them alone. At Better Beginnings Early Intervention, we provide compassionate support for children and families during the most important years of development. Our goal is to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can build essential skills and families feel encouraged every step of the way.
Every child grows at their own pace, and early support can make a meaningful difference in helping them reach their fullest potential.

Learn more about Early Intervention at Better Beginnings
-
Early Intervention provides specialized instruction and support for young children who may be experiencing developmental delays or who have special needs. At Better Beginnings, our services typically take place weekly and focus on helping children build the skills they need to succeed at home, in school, and in everyday life.
Each family is also paired with a Service Coordinator who helps guide the process by:
Understanding your concerns about your child’s development
Connecting you with the appropriate therapies or services
Supporting your family throughout the entire journey
Our team works closely with families to create a supportive plan tailored to each child’s unique needs and provides services to children in individual clinic-based sessions, in daycare/school settings, and in the home environment for children 0-3.
-
Early Intervention services are designed for children ages 0–3 who may have:
Developmental delays
Speech or communication challenges
Motor skill delays
Social or emotional development concerns
Learning or behavioral challenges
It is also for families who simply have questions or concerns about their child’s development.
If you feel something may not be progressing as expected, early support can help provide clarity and guidance.

The early years of a child’s life are when the brain grows and develops the fastest.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the brain’s neural connections are most flexible during the first three years of life. This means children are especially receptive to learning new skills and making developmental progress during this time.
Because of this rapid brain development, early therapy can help children build important foundational skills such as:
Communication and language
Movement and coordination
Social interaction
Learning and problem-solving
These skills form the building blocks for future success in school, relationships, and daily life.
-
Research consistently shows that early support leads to meaningful improvements in development. Studies have found that:
Children receiving early intervention can experience up to 32% greater developmental gains.
Early support can reduce the need for special education by 20–50% later in school.
Early help can truly change the developmental path for many children, helping them grow in confidence and independence.
-
Early Intervention is not just about helping children; it is about supporting families as well.
Our EI’s work closely with parents and caregivers to share strategies that can be used at home to encourage development in everyday routines. We often remind families:
“The most meaningful progress happens when intervention continues at home.” When parents practice the techniques and strategies learned during sessions, it helps strengthen their child’s growth and build long-term success.
Hear from one of our families…
“Communication was top-notch and the final outcome was even better than we imagined. A great experience all around.”
-Rachel Cantrell, Baylor's MomYou Are Not Alone
Many families worry about developmental delays, but they are more common than people realize. Research shows that about 1 in 6 children in the United States has a developmental delay or disability, including challenges with speech, motor skills, or learning. The good news is that early support can make a powerful difference.
